Once you have inserted the desired photo into the page layout, double click on this image which will take you to an edit screen (see image). When in this edit screen, simply drag any of the outlined corners of the image and crop the image as you like. You will see there is a blue/purple area. This area is the area that will be disregarded. To implement this press the ‘apply’ button. If you are not happy with the cropping section, simply repeat the steps - none of the image is deleted, simply blocked out.
